Measure to obtain count of values from another measure

Hi all,

I'm using a Streaming Dataset to produce the Usage Metrics across the whole Power BI Estate within our business.

So that I'm able to produce more meaningful reports, I've connected to the Streaming Dataset in Power BI Desktop.

As the Creation Time from the Dataset is Date Time down to Seconds, I've created the measure below to return the Date Time in Day Names.

WeekDay = FORMAT(CALCULATE(MAX(RealTimeData[CreationTime])), "DDDD")

I know what to be able to count the number of events on the individual days  - ie how many events on Monday, Tuesday etc to plot into a Radar Chart to see which days in the week have the most activity.

I've tried a few different suggestions from the Community, but they are either invalid or do not produce a valid result that can be plotted into the Chart.

Can anyone suggest a method to produce this please?

Hi @v-zhangti, So as I've put above, I'm using a Streaming Dataset, so a Live Connection, which I've connected to via Power BI Desktop, so at least in there I can create some measures, which I obviously can't do in the Service.

The Data is at list of all events across our Power BI estate - ie ViewReport, ExportReport etc etc which comes with the CreationTime in Date/Time format.  For this question I'm looking to populate a Radar Chart with the distribution of events across the WeekDays.

I've created the measure above to format the Date Time to Day Name, the result of which you can see below.

CreationTimeWeekDay
02/14/23 06:06:21 PMTuesday
02/14/23 06:15:58 PMTuesday
02/14/23 08:09:07 PMTuesday
02/14/23 08:23:04 PMTuesday
02/14/23 08:30:03 PMTuesday
02/14/23 08:30:26 PMTuesday
02/14/23 08:30:44 PMTuesday
02/14/23 10:58:01 PMTuesday
02/15/23 08:23:46 AMWednesday
02/15/23 08:28:54 AMWednesday
02/15/23 08:29:22 AMWednesday
02/15/23 08:29:24 AMWednesday
02/15/23 08:32:04 AMWednesday
02/15/23 08:34:03 AMWednesday
02/15/23 08:34:05 AMWednesday
02/15/23 08:36:39 AMWednesday

What I now need is to get the count of how many events for each Day Name - e.g. 200 Hits on Mondays, 3000 on Wednesdays etc, to populate the Radar Chart.

Hi, @MOsborne

Can you provide sample data for testing? Sensitive information can be removed in advance. What kind of expected results do you expect? You can also show it with pictures or Excel.
