I am using Power Bi for the first time and spent weeks trying to understand (Learn small steps) a simple Excel file that I produce ever month, highlighting the differences in three columns.
I take the spreadsheet and combine each of the month Tabs into one sheet with Power Bi and call the first column the Report date.
I then create three reference tables with the report date App_Key (that I made) and pivot the three tables by the Report date this gives me comparison layout. This took me about 6 weeks to get to this stage.
I have two slicers with two separate tables with the Report Date (Table A and Table B)
Table A
Selection Value A = IF(SELECTEDVALUE('Table A'[Report Date])
=SELECTEDVALUE('Table B'[Report Date]),0,1)
Table B
Selection Value B = IF(SELECTEDVALUE('Table B'[Report Date])
=SELECTEDVALUE('Table A'[Report Date]),0,1)
So this bit works on the selection.
My issue is that I want to filter and display the columns from the selection
Measure A Table = VALUES(Data[Report Date]),FILTER(Data,Data[Report Date]=SELECTEDVALUE('Table A'[Report Date]))
But not understanding Dax and I can’t see what is wrong
