Measure not recognizing table field
Hi,
I am new to DAX, have been using measure in my report but I am facing a problem in a measure. Its not recognising all the fileds of the table. I have attached screen shot. the month filed in talbe query1 is not highlighting when I create a measure.
I need to multiple the "availalbe hours[query1]*month[qery1].
Hi rjmajid ,
What type of calculation do you want to base on? For two tables that are not related if you use measure you need to use aggregated values. Refer to the following formula.
M_ = MAX(Hours[Query1]) * MAX('Month'[Query1])If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.
Best Regards,
Henry

Hi, If you're iterating through each row in your table. It should read. Sumx(Query1, [Admin and Management Task Count]*[Month])

Hi rjmajid ,
Calculated Measures are used to perform aggregations. You cannot however use naked columns while writing regular DAX expressions for creating a measure.
Here's the link to understand the difference between calculated columns and calculated measures:

so, how should then I write the measure for the calculation?
