Measure help

Hi I work in a school and need a bit of help with a measure i'm having trouble with if it is in fact a measure i need 🙂   So on one of my pages I want to show top 10 or top 20 students with the hi...

    An alternative way to that suggested by Mariusz  is to use the TopN filter in the filter pane.

    First create a measure with the sum of the points:

    Sum of points = SUM('DataTable'[Points])

     

    Create a table visual with the student and [Sum of points] measure, and filter the table using the TopN option:

Rank Brand = 
RANKX(
    CALCULATETABLE(
        VALUES( 'Product'[Brand] ), --Student Name Column
        ALLSELECTED()
    ), 
    CALCULATE(
        SUMX(Sales, Sales[Net Price] * Sales[Quantity]) --SUM( points Column )
    ),, 
    DESC
)
