Measure driven data labels bug in lne and stacked column chart when reversing column stack

The measure driven data labels have a bug in lne and stacked column chart when reversing the column stack.

In this report I have selected data labels for "sales total" and then changed the custom label field to "budget sales".  However the data label for "cost total" (yellow on the chart) changes to "4M" as this is the value of "budget sales".

I have raised an idea, please vote for it here

I have uploaded a copy of my file here:

  • timmay , You are using two measures, that is not an ideal case for label replacement. It is best suited with legend and one measure

  • Hi Amit,

Thanks for your response, but i'm a bit confused, if I reverse the stack order, the MDDL works as intended, but when I flip it the column stacks the other way, the MDDL doesn't follow the correct measure.  If I use a MDDL for a measure it should work for that specific measure, should it not?  I hope we have not got so used to these weird quirks for PBI that making excuses for MS is just a habit now (like table totals not summing the rows).
