Measure Doesn't Work with Filter
I have a measure coded like this:
Sales Amount = CALCULATE(Sales[All Sales], Sales[Sales Type] <> "Open Orderline", Sales[Sales Type] <> "Open RMA Orderline" )
It's summing up a sales dollar column, while ensuring to exclude two sales types that are open sales. The measure works as expected through almost all filters. Example: I can filter by account, rep, region, etc. However, when filtering by sales type, the measure gives sales totals that don't match the underlying data. It's so off, I can't make any sense of how it's going wrong.
Does anyone know how to remedy this? I'm fairly new to the backend of Power BI. Is it not possible to filter for data that is already being filtered on a measure?

You don't necessarily need to use measures to filter out sales types. Use the filter pane, it is more straightforward and won't interfere with additional filtering.
