I am not understanding what is happening here. I'm sure it is simple, but it is not clear at all so far.
I have a matrix showing equipment operating hours over time, and I have a measure that shows wether or not a piece of equipment is underutilized.
This chart shows the utilization measure instead of the hours measure. It shows that equipment DM19201 is underutilized and is appearing with the utilization filter applied:
This matrix, however, simply uses hours instead of utilization, and kicks this row out under the same filter:
When I remove the utilization filter, the row appears and shows as underutilized by ~14 hours
For reference, the tool tip is looking at the exact same utilization measure, but is coded to show the number instead of the text.
I don't understand. This is an underutilized piece of equipment, and is showing as such until I apply a filter. Can someone please help me understand what is going on?
Using a measure in a visual filter is not always straightforward, it also may appear counter-intuitive. It depends on the granularity of the visual and it can be a complex subject.
It looks like this is what is happening here though I would have to see the details to be sure.
