I have a Matrix Visual I'm working on in Power BI Desktop that had a slicer synced with several other pages. I changed the slicer to a field from another table but the matrix is still filtered to selected value of the old slicer. I've removed the slicer that was synced from all pages and the matrix is stuck with the data last filtered. No other filters or slicers are applied. I've refreshed and closed and opened again but the visual will not change. I removed the field that was used in the slicer and added it back on. Does anyone have an idea on what I should try?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Possibly an extra copy of the slicer was created, and is hidden. This could happen if you added visible slicers to replace the hidden ones Sync Slicers created. So, check the Selection pane as well as Sync Slicers to make sure you really removed all the slicers.

That was it! I completely moved all the visual and slicers to make sure there wasn't a copy hiding under one of them and didn't see anything. I never used the Selection Pane before but as soon as I did I saw there were two hidden slicers.
Thank you!
If you select the visual and check the filter pane on the right for "Filters on this visual" does that old filter show up there? Maybe you have tried this already but it's worth checking based on what you have described.
I did check that and even removed the field and added it back. I also cleared all the filters but that didn't help.
