Matrix column header order

A current project request looks to sort values by month, then quarter, then YTD.  They do not, though, want months nested within quarters.

So, the request, for headers, would be January, Febraury, March, April, May..... Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, YTD. 

We don't need to drill on any of it, but I'm just not sure if something like this is possible within the bounds of a Power BI matrix.

    For another workaround, you could create several matrix and then pin them like below.

      That's very similar to what I've been working toward.  Thank you much for the insights, v-piga-msft.

  • criecher not sure if you can achieve this without using drill down or the crude method would be to create that many  measures and use table visual instead of matrix.
