Matrix column header not showing measure name
I have just noticed in the latest release of Power Bi Desktop if you only have 1 measure in the Values of a matrix it will not show a column header name for it. If I add the measure twice I get the column headers back? See screenshots below. Has it always been like this or is it a bug?
hi, gooranga1
This is a normal phenomenon for the all the version that if you had dragged the field into Column Valus and then drag one measure or column into Value, the column header won't show measure/column name, because it is only value for the column, unless you don't drag the field into Column Valus.
For example:
and this is same of both old and new versions.

Then what is the next step to show the measure as column name? Is there any workaround?

✅ Displaying a Measure Name in a Matrix Visual (Single Measure Scenario)
When using a Matrix visual in Power BI with only one measure, the measure name may not appear as a column header by default.
A practical approach to address this is:Create a calculated column with a constant value that matches the measure name
Add this column to the Columns field in the Matrix
Expand the column hierarchy in the visual
This ensures that the measure name is displayed clearly in the header.Example:
Create a calculated column:
DAXMeasure_Header = "Measure"Show more linesThen:
Place Measure_Header in the Columns section
Expand the hierarchy in the Matrix visual✅ The measure name will now be visible as part of the column header.
