Matrix Visual - Percentage of another value

Hi All, this is probably quite simple, but cannot work out. I have columns of data in a matrix that changes sums of ElelementWeight depending on the timescale I am looking at. In another linked table I am returning an overall production weight (TonnesOn). I need to work out what the ElementWeight is as a percentage of the TonnesOn

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i.e. in the photo 1 as a percentage of 2 or 3. In the end I don't want to show 2 in the finished report. as it will be shown as 3.

  • It looks like you're using implicit measures, this will be easier if you create explicit measures like

    Tonnes On = SUM( 'Table1'[TonnesOn])

    Element Weight = SUM('Table2'[ElementWeight])

You can use these measures in the visuals and also create a ratio like

Ratio = DIVIDE( [Element Weight], [Tonnes On])

Great, thank you.  I can see the logic in that. However it doesnt seem to like it? Probably something I have missed.

Is it giving an error message, or just not returning the right value ?
