Matrix Visual. How to put two fields on row on SAME line.

Hi all,

I am looking to create a Maxtix visual where i have two items on the row.  A good example of what is to be replicated and format needed would be below.

Using the Matrix visual in Power Bi, currently gives me something similar to the below.

I am aware that I could turn off the row subtotals and then manually expand the items on the rows, however i have a substantial number of rows so that is sub optimal.  How can this visual be set up to have both items appear on the same row without needing to touch it?  Thanks!

Hi Vicky, thanks for responding.  The solution mentioned appears to require the user to expand the individual rows.  This is not practical when there may be hundreds of rows in the visual.  Let me know if I am missing something.

  • There's a matrix setting under Row Headers > Options > Stepped Layout that you can turn off to achieve that.
