Matrix Visual - How can I disable alt box on Web URL columns?

When hovering over a Web URL link, an alt box appears with the URL (red in the attached image). If the cell text has been truncated, another alt box appears with the full text (blue in the attached image). How can I disable the URL alt box (red)?

Hi eloliveira , hello dharmendars007, thank you for your prompt reply!

As far as I know, when you format a field as a Web URL using conditional formatting in Power BI, the default behavior is to display the URL when users hover over the link.

This enhances the user experience by ensuring that users are aware of the destination they will be directed to upon clicking the link.

This default feature helps prevent accidental clicks or navigation to unsafe websites, promoting greater accessibility and transparency in design.

    Best regards,

    Joyce

    Hello eloliveira ,

Instead of showing the full URL, you can display a hyperlink icon or text like "Click here".
    How to do this:

    1. Create a new calculated column with text like "Click here" or use a Unicode icon (e.g., πŸ”—).
    2. Use the conditional formatting in Power BI Table/Matrix visual to make the text or icon clickable.
    3. This way, the URL tooltip won’t appear, and only the custom text/icon will be displayed.

If you find this helpful , please mark it as solution which will be helpful for others and Your Kudos/Likes πŸ‘ are much appreciated!

      Hello dharmendars007 ,

I've already did that. My cell shows a text from one column of the table, the URL is in another column. With conditional formatting, the text is clickable, however, the complete URL continues to be shown in a tooltip when the user hovers the mouse over the clickable text. What am I doing wrong?
