Matrix Visual: Display Current Year Months in Columns and December from Prior Year
Long-time viewer, first-time poster here. The creator of the file I'm currently working on has left the organization.
The matrix displays data for the current year (2025 Jan-Feb) and uses the last month of the previous year (December 2024) as a baseline. I'm struggling to understand how this was set up, as there are no filters or additional measures applied.

Congratulations on your first post 🙂
First do you have access to the PBIX file? It is possible to set filters to hidden in the Filters pane by clicking the eye logo.Next have they could have used a measure, find the item that is listed in the Values section of the measure.
If it has a Calculator icon that is a measure, click on the measure in the Data pane to see the DAX.
Finally check the definition of the calendar table.
Find the table in Table view and click the first column to see the definition:
Hopefully one of these holds the mystery!

There were filters on the page that limited matrix to the 13 months, Dec of prior year + the current year. Thanks for the help.
