Hi all,
In every matrix I have in every report, the drilldown does not appear to be working correctly. I can click to turn on drilldown and can then select one of the items in the top hierarchy on my row but, as soon as I do that, the double arrow to "Go to next level of hierarchy" greys out and cannot be selected.
If I don't drill into the the rows, it will let me go through each level of the hierarchy as normal. Similarly, it will let me select the "Expand all down one level of the hierarch" button at any point.
I know that these have worked previously and I have not changed any of the data in the tables. I have even tried to build some more from scratch and end up with the same problem in the Desktop.
Has anybody come across this? Is there a way to resolve it?
hello, can you solve the problem Katie?
Hi @KatieH,
when you click to turn on drilldown and can then select one of the items, it is like an expand all the data for your item in this level, so you could not both turn on the Go to next level of hierarchy function, you could refer to below link:

Thanks for your reply Daniel,
This is something I was definitely able to do previously and is something I am still able to do if the data is set out on a graph.
Using a general date hierarchy as an example, if have a list of years then select the drill down to specifically look at 2017 for example, once I have selected that, I cannot now move down to the next level of the hierarchy to see all the months within 2017, I can only see the quarters. Even if I turn the drilldown button off at this point, it will not let me go to the next level.
However, if I change the exact same data set to a graph visual, this works with no problems.
