Super UserMatric Layout not working in Bookmarks.
In the Format menu, the Matrix visual has a Layout option which can be set to Compact, Outline or Tabular.
Please try this ...
- Set the Matrix to Compact Layout and add a Bookmark called "Compact mode" and tick Selected Visual, Display and Update.
- Then set the Matrix to Tabular Layout and add another Bookmark called "Tabular mode" and tick Selected Visual, Display and Update.
You should now be able to use the Bookmarks to toggle the Matrix Layout, but it does not work for me,
Please try the attached example PBIX and add comments if you know a solution or you think it is a bug.
We can then raise it with MS support accordingley.
Incdentally, I do know that I could work arround the problem with two sepearte visuals but I would like to use just one visual with the bookmark.

The bnookmark do not save the formatting of the table in this case GTabular model vs compact mode bookmarks are used to display visuals and to store filter context, has you refer to do this you must use two different visualizations since the definitions of formatting are not consider for the bookmarks.
