Helper IIIMaster-Detail navigation alternatives
Hi,
I have a report with two pages, the first one showing information about a list of plants and the second one showing information from a single plant.
I have a side menu with two buttons, one navigating to the plants-list page and one navigating to the single plant-page.
In the single-plant page I have a dropdown, single-selection slicers that allows user to select which plant they want to see. This is handful because the user can quickly switch plant to see its data without living the page, so I would like to keep that slicer.
By the way, I was asked to add quick navigation options from the plants-list page to single-plant page. Drilltrough would work fine here (even with the new drilltrough action option), unless for the fact that it filters also the list of plants that appears in the single-plant page slicer.
Is there a way to avoid that?
Or have you suggestions about other ways to achieve that goal (quick navigation from a plant in the master page to its detail while keeping the ability to change plant in the detail page)?

You could insert a button navigate to the other page. Please refer to the tutorial.

Sorry, but this solution does not work for me.
I already have a button that allows to navigate from the Master page to the Detail one.
But the case here is different.
I want to support both those use cases:
1) Click on a button in the Master and go to the Detail: the first plant or the last used one is selected in the slicer within the Detail page and the user can then change this selection directly in the Detail page;
2) Select a Plant in the Master, click on a button (it can be different from the one in case 1) and open the Detail by selecting THAT plant. If possible, I would like that, in this case, the slicer in the Detail page shows the full list of plants as well.
Is that possible?
