Mashup Evaluation Container locks file

Hi

Maybe somebody can help?

When i either run the desktop or refresh the dataset from the website. I will have alot of process with mashup evaluation container.

Between 4 and 8 at the most. It take alot of ram (I have disabled background download under settings, and parallel reading ), but that´s not my main issue.

I have a xml file exported, who is delivered by Nav2016 each 10 min through an jobqueue. That file is being locked by the Mashup evaluaton container, either when i update from desktop, or through website. Each time i kill all the processes with mashup, Nav2016 can again deliver the file.

I run Version: 2.51.4885.701 64-bit (oktober 2017)

The pbix file take around 7 sec. to run with schedule update plan, and file is 755 KB.

My quistion is then - why does the update not unlock the file after updated the file with succes?

All the data i need to see, i see clearly and corretly, but the file is locked. And then i will not import updated data from NAV2016, every 10 min.

Anybody have the same issue?

Hi @djammo,

Did you deliver content from Nav2016 every 10 min to the same xml file or deliver to a new xml file each time? To avoid locking process, you could try to export to different xml files with a unique timestamp under the same folder. Then, from Power BI desktop, connect to folder to get data and combine content using Power Query.

For the resaon to why update data in desktop locked the file, I would suggest you create a support ticket.

Best regards,
