MariaDB Direct Query "This step results in query that is not supported in DQ mode"

Hi.

I have a report with a MariaDB DirectQuery connection. Wich has worked fine. But now I get "This step results in query that is not supported in DirectQuery mode" directly on the first "Source" step. No transofrmations are done.

I have tried reinstalling the MariaDB connector but with no results. How is it possible that I get "This step results in query that is not supported in DirectQuery mode" just by connecting to the source? What can I do to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @PatrikWiklund ,

Did you use import mode to add a step which is not support in directquery mode. Go through each step and see at which steps it fails to work with direct query and look for alternate for that step.

Here is a user who encountered the same problem as you and solved it successfully, this post is for your reference:

Hi.
Thanks for your answer. I am well aware that some steps do not work in Direct Query. But no steps are added. I get this message on the first "Source" step. Right after connecting with a Direct Query connection.

I have the exact same issue.  I have only the import step, and Power Query complains that I have a steps that aren't supported by Direct Query mode.  Are there any updates to this?
