Hi Amittal ,

I suggest you to try Shape Map in Power BI Desktop.

For reference: Use custom maps

    I found a shape file online for the state and added it using custom maps. But when I add region from my data file onto the map it does not recognize it. Any recommendations?

      I found a shape file online

      That shape file needs to contain attributes for your "regions", and the same column name must exist in your data model and be categorized as "place"
