I work for a large Mortgage lender. We want to be able to type in an address and show all of our properties within a specified radius (1 mile, 5 miles, 25 miles, etc). Is there a way to do this in Power BI? I can approximate this functionality with slicers based on geo fields, but that's limited to internal data sources.
I already added an idea, but detailed mapping features don't seem to be getting much traction there: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/18604129-search-a-map
Hi @jmymlr
I think I might have an approach but if you can send some sample data I can see if I can knock something up.
Do you have LAT/LNG for all your addresses?
@Phil_Seamark Could you please share the approach , i have similar requirement , and i am not aware of any such method just the manual setting one.
HI @SAG1
This was a blog a did a couple of months that could be tweaked for your use

It'll take me a couple days to get permission to even send masked data, but I should be able to put something together. In the meantime, what are you thinking as a solution? Custom visual or some combination of existing functionality?
Yes, we have LAT/LNG for all our addresses.
Based on my research, there is no such a option on Map visual in current version of Power BI. If you have full exprience on coding, you could develop a custom visual based on your own requirement.
