Map resets when clicking it
Hi
I work for a large FE College group and I've looked into using the Map Visualisation for a heat map of where our students are located to have on our main headline dashboard. What I want is for it to show where the types of students are, based on Funding category and Campus (our group has multiple locations in the area). This works perfect so if you click on a visualisation to select one campus, the map updates and shows home location but if you then click the map to drag it around interactively, it resets the filters on the page.
For example, I have a Treemap for all our Sites with the student totals and if I click a campus then the map updates showing just those students, but if I then click the Map to move it around/zoom in, the campus gets deselected and resets to All again. This happens for all the elements on the dashboard such as Charts, Funnels, Tree Map etc.
Any suggestions?

In fact, this the default rule of the highlight filter.
When you click on specific data labels to 'active' it, it will apply a highlight filter effect to interact with other visuals. Highlight filter effect will be canceled when you apply any operations which will cancel the 'active' statue of the specific data label.
AFAIK, current power bi does not support to lock-on specific data labels to keep highlight filter effect. I'd like to suggest you submit an idea to improve the highlight filter or use other filters/slicers to choose specific items.
