Map for Power BI Offline

If you are working with an offline system, you can still add a world map to your Power BI reports using custom visuals. There are several custom visuals available that allow you to display maps in Power BI, even if you are not connected to the internet.

One such custom visual is the "Synoptic Panel by OKViz" visual. This visual allows you to create custom maps and floor plans based on image files, which can be stored locally on your computer or network. This means that you can create your own world map image file and use it with this visual to display data on a map in your Power BI report, without requiring an internet connection.

Another option is to use the "Mapbox" visual, which allows you to display data on maps created using the Mapbox platform. Mapbox maps can be downloaded and stored locally on your computer or network, allowing you to use them offline in your Power BI report.

Finally, you can also consider creating your own custom visual using a mapping library like Leaflet or OpenLayers, which can be embedded in a custom visual for Power BI. This would require some programming skills, but would give you complete control over the mapping functionality and the ability to work offline.

Keep in mind that using custom visuals may require additional setup and configuration, and may not provide the same level of functionality as the built-in map visual in Power BI. However, if you need to work offline and still display data on a map, custom visuals can be a useful solution.
