Map: Lines connecting points

When will Power BI update the mapping visuals to allow lines to be created on a map?

This feature has been requested since at least 2015/2016. I have a great need for this to map out line segments.

This feature already exists in the Azure Maps API, but is not supported by Power BI.

The only workarounds are through Power BI uncertified visuals or R programming, which probably does not work for individual line segments.

Please upvote this request so Microsoft will work on this feature.

    I know the ability to create lines on a map is an important feature to you, and thank you for always looking forward to it.

     

    As of my last update, Microsoft has yet to officially announce when this feature might be included in Power BI. However, Power BI is constantly being updated with new features, and the Power BI team will consider user feedback for future releases. We recommend keeping an eye on the Power BI blog and the Power BI Updates section for the latest news on feature updates.
