Make Field entries columns

I have a field for Gender   and a field for departments  how can I have  Gender as  column headers and departments on the side... Also, I would like to add the number of employees in each department by gender and total them

                             Male           Female       Total     

Department 1         100              35             135

Department 2           75              20               95

Department 3           51              17               68

Both department and Gender are fields.. this would preferably be in a Table visualization
