hi
i am trying to use MTD and QTD in kpi cards
MTD =
CALCULATE(
[Sales Actuals],
DATESMTD('Date'[Date]))
QTD =
CALCULATE(
[Sales Actuals],
DATESQTD('Date'[Date]))
how ever i found out that time inteligence functions dont work with Direct Query
so I tried these
QTD (custom) =
CALCULATE (
[Sales Actuals],
FILTER (
ALL ( 'Date’),
'Date'[Year] = MAX ('Date'[Year])
&&
'Date'[Quarter] = MAX ('Date'[Quarter])
&&
'Date'[Date] <= MAX ('Date'[Date])))
MTD (custom) =
CALCULATE(
[Sales Actuals],
FILTER(
ALL('Date'),
'Date'[Year] = MAX ('Date'[Year])
&&
'Date'[Month] = MAX ('Date'[Month])
&&
'Date'[Date] <= MAX ('Date'[Date])))
it all works if I put it in table and iterate over year nad month and quarter but as soon i put the MTD or QTD measure in KPI card i get blanks
can anyone help me to understand why i dont get any values in the KPI card visuals ??
thank you

@buchta See if the alternatives in this video help. Hard to know 100% without a formula for your measure for starters.
