MTD Previous month

Hello,

I have a MTD measure that goes as followed:

Quantity (base) MTD = IF (
MIN ( 'Calendar'[Date] ) <= CALCULATE ( MAX ( 'Calendar'[Date]), ALL ( 'Returns') ),
CALCULATE ( SUM ( 'Returns'[quantity (base)]), DATESMTD ( 'Calendar'[Date]) )
)

How could I turn this into MTD previous month?

  • Hello,

    I've fixed the issue!

    I used the following DAX measure:

    Quantity (base) Last Month MTD = IF (
    MIN ( 'Calendar'[Date] ) <= CALCULATE ( MAX ( 'Calendar'[Date]), ALL ( 'Returns') ),
    CALCULATE ( SUM ( 'Returns'[quantity (base)]), DATESMTD (DATEADD('Calendar'[Date], -1, MONTH )
    )))

  • Niels_T , try like examples

    LMTD = calculate(Sum('order'[Qty]),DATESMTD(dateadd('Date'[Date]),-1,month))

    LMTD QTY forced=
    var _max1 = maxx(allselected(Date), Date[Date])
    var _max = date(year(_max1), Month(_max1)-1, day(_max1))
    return
    if(max('Date'[Date])<=_max, calculate(Sum('order'[Qty]),DATESMTD(dateadd('Date'[Date]),-1,month)), blank())

    To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :radacad sqlbi My Video Series Appreciate your Kudos.

      Hello,

      Thank you for the quick reply.

      Unfortunately I get this error:

      I removed the parenthesis at (dateadd('Calendar'[Date]

      Last Month Quantity MTD = CALCULATE(SUM(Returns[quantity (base)]),DATESMTD(dateadd('Calendar'[Date],-1,month)))

      The measure won't give an error.
      However, then I won't get any data shown in my report.

      I also got the same issue with the other measure that you posted:

      Also tried to move the parenthesis at dateadd there but then I get a different error:
