MIN and MAX functions give unexpected behavior

When I put a static column, calculated column or measure in a visual--e.g., a clustered column chart--and use SUMing as the aggregation (whether in the summarization option or writing it into the the measure) and add some field for the labeling axis, the SUMing is filtered or displays the context of that label. For example, country names, products, etc. It does NOT give me the same total sales value in every column; it filters for the country, product, etc. Whatever is in the labeling axis.

Same result when I do Averaging; it filters to the context of the label. Good!

BUT when I use MIN or MAX function or aggregation, it only gives me the actual Minimum or actual Maximum value across the board for all the column. Is there a way around this? I was expecting it would give the Min or Max for that country or that product, etc.

Hi, can you please provide some sample data with the output you are getting and the output you are expecting?

Thanks - Samrat

Hi Samratpbi,

Hmm... I tried to simply the data and get rid of secure information so I could post it here... and the problem went away!  It must be in the data, so i will try to figure out what I did.
