The MAQ calendar visual shows whatever month I was previously working on after opening the powerbi desktop report. Is there any way that whenever I open the report, I could see the current month. Right now, I need to use the today button or arrows inside the visual to get to the current month. Another question, why a date slicer does not work with the visual. like if a select a month on the slicer it does not update the MAQ calendar vusual to the month.

You can create a bookmark in Power BI Desktop that contains the desired date selection and MAQ Calendar visual status. You can then set this bookmark as the default bookmark to ensure that the desired date and status are displayed each time you open the report.
