M query in live connection

hi,

how could i know which functions can i use in M on live connection?

in some data source, 'advanced editor' is disabled, in ADW it enables but 'table.addcolumn' doesnt work, filter rows do work...

how can i know?

Are you sure that you can filter rows in a live connection?

In Power BI Desktop, all of the query and modeling features in Power BI Desktop should be disabled when exploring live data, so even filtering rows should not work.

In general, anything which tries to modify table structure may not work.

Those functions which can filter the data, modify the data at ADW can work.
