Long date type isse

I have selected date as the date type but am getting the day of the week and the full month spelled out, i.e. Thursday, Novemeber 22, 2015 etc.   I don't see any other option to select to correct this.   The underlying table has the field property as date/time.

 

Any suggestions to correct this?

    After my research, You may try to change Format of the date
