Login window covered

When I have Power BI Desktop maximized and receive a prompt to login, the login window is "under" Power BI Desktop. Alt-tab doesn't reveal the login window and there's no indication in the taskbar.

  • Hi Anonymous

Sometimes when Power BI Desktop is maximized and a login prompt appears, the window might open behind the main application, making it hard to find.

Here are a few simple ways to bring it into view:

    1. Try restoring the Power BI window (so it's not maximized) before triggering the login prompt.

    2. Use Alt + Space, then M, and move the hidden window with your arrow keys.

    3. Minimize all windows with Windows + D, then use Alt + Tab to cycle through and look for the login window.

    4. If you’ve used multiple monitors recently, changing screen resolution or disconnecting external displays can help bring hidden windows back.

  • Hi Anonymous

This could have something to do with your screen's  resolution. Please try setting a different resolution and/or using a different monitor.
