Location/Map defaults to USA?

I'm just starting out with Power BI so may have missed something.... I have a spreadsheet and one of the columns is an address column.  Every (valid) cell contains an address in the format of street...

    Hi JayP

     

    Do you have an example of the addresses that are not mapping correctly?

     

    Also when you click on the column can you ensure that the Data Category is set to Address?

     

    And if that does not work, then try City also

Hi, I didn't put any datatype (nor know where to do so).
I clicked Get Data, pointed to the excel sheet, and accepted the defaults.
Then on the fields pane I clicked "Full address" and Power BI (desktop) automatically added a map visualisation for me. So I'm guessing it recognised the field as a location. In the visualisations field it shows "location" as "Full Address" - do I need to add another step to confirm it is meant to be location data?

 

I think I had commas in before and the result was even more US-biased. So much so that only 2 of the 80 addresses were plotted in NZ.
