Hi Folks,
Hope someone can help me with the issue. 🙂
Issue description:
I want to deal with On-premise data gateway failure issue which occurs frequently due to security policy.
I want to know how to get the On-Premise data Gateway service running in the Services. The gateway is up and running however i couldnt find the services in Services.
Any help / comment / suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
Deepak
Hi, @deepak_mhaskar
Please check if you are missing any information, I found it in the service.
The name is PBIEgwService.
The on-premises data gateway is configured to use NT SERVICE\PBIEgwService for the Windows service sign-in credential. In the context of the machine on which you install the gateway, the account by default has the right of Log on as a service.
refer:
Change the on-premises data gateway service account
Hope this helps.

Hi, @deepak_mhaskar
Personal mode gateways cannot change that account only standard mode gateways can change them.
I'm not mentioning this so you can change your account, just so you can look up the name PBIEgwService in Services.
Also, if you just want to check the status of your gateway, you can log in to your service and check if the gateway status is running in the service's dataset.
