Good day. I have a power bi report on desktop, which receives survey responses from microsoft forms. The problem is that when i click refresh, and refresh the preview, the latest entries do not reflect. They lag for about 24 hours, and i need to see live updates as this report's already published on Power Bi Service. If anyone hs a solution, please assist. Thanks.

Ah, fellow mates, I found the issue. It was a filter I had in the last step of my power query. All this after i had created a flow using Excel as a middle man.
Thank you all for your expeditious help!

It still hasn't been resolved. I've resorted to usig excel as a middleman to bridge the missing data. The plan is to create a cloud flow from Dataverse to Excel, which will connect to the Power Bi report.
Hi @Ntshepi, if you want us to help further, follow the steps indicated here Re: Live entries don't reflect in Power Bi desktop - Microsoft Fabric Community and share the PowerQuery code 😉
Hi @Tsheps , based on what your saying it sounds like your data source is actually a Dynamics table accessible through Dataverse. Power BI to dataverse uses Import by default. It can be DirectQuery but its usually restrictive and slow. Thats the most likely reason for not relfecting live at least.
Does the data relfect new values when you refresh?
It reflects some values, not all
Hi @m4ni ,
The data does live in a table that contains URLs to each response in Dataverse. However, when i refresh in power bi desktop, it doesn't show the latest entries.
Hi @Tsheps ,
A couple of questions:
My experience is that files stored in sharepoint take around 5/10 minutes max to be available in the Power BI however the connection to files is always done with a import semantic model an will always be a lag because you need to run a refresh.
Depending on your license you may be limited to 8 times a day (pro license) or 48 (fabric or ppu).

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi Felix.
1. The forms answers go to a table living in powerapps.
2. No, not Sharepoint, but Power Apps instead
3. How I connect to the answers file is that I connect to the link to the actual form, in power bi. The link starts with something along the lines of "msdynmkt_marketingformsubmission", resulting in that being my query name
4. It is in import mode
Hi @Tsheps, do you have any filtering steps in Power Query after you connected to a data source? Because if not, when using Import mode (which is your case), you should get all your data when you refresh the report in Power BI Desktop.
Could you share your Power Query code here? You can hide the first row which contains the database address. If you don't see a record you're looking at in Power Query, then you first need to reassure that the response actually exists in the database. Maybe, there is some erorr with Power Apps and it's not getting saved correctly.
P.S: PowerApps is the front-end (i.e., what users see), but behind the scenes you should have a database where you store the records. By default, Power Apps will use the one called "Dataverse".
Hi @Sergii24 I do, as I need to filter for the URL that contains all the entries to the specific form, as there's multiple forms and so different URLs live in the same table. The data exists in Dataverse, however when i refresh in Power Bi desktop, it doesn't appear. I made a test entry yesterday, and it still hasn't appeared even after refresh. Not sure if this would help, but all the entires in power bi are written "+00:00" next to the submission date. Not sure if there's a correlation there.
Thanks so much for the clarity! I had no idea
Good luck with your project! 🙂
