Live Power BI Dataset - Automatic Page Refresh

Hello!

I've been reading this article: Automatic page refresh in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Docs.

Especially the below extract, which makes me think that a report that is live connected to a Power BI dataset should have the ability to set automatic page refresh.

Power BI datasets (connected live)FI supported: Yes
CD supported: No
Minimum: 1 second
Admin override: Yes
FI supported: Yes
CD supported: No
Minimum: 30 minutes
Admin override: No

All our users have pro licensing.

Can someone please confirm if we can use Live PBI datasets with automatic page refreshes?

Thanks

    Hi pbimatthewwb ,

It depends on the method how the DataSet is connected to the source "Live", "DirectQuery" or "Imported"?!?

The report is live-connected to an existing Power Bi dataset. It says it is "DirectQuery" at the bottom right of the report.

    Hi pbimatthewwb ,

"You can set automatic page refresh for reports that have been published to the Power BI service as long as the data source is DirectQuery."

    What you mean Live dataset?

    Best Regards,

    Jay
