Live Connection - Unable to Select Conditional Measures

Good Afternoon,

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue:

I am working with a model that is connected Live to an Azure database. 

I have created several conditional measures in the PBI model; conditional titles, conditional page navigation and such.

 

However with the recent version of PBI Desktop, I an unable to select and apply any of these Conditional Measures.

I used to be able to do this, at least with Page Navigation last year.

Is anyone aware of any changes that would cause this behaviour, or is this perhaps a known bug?

 

Appreciate any comments or feedback.

    The new Format Pane has some issues:

    Known issues with opt-in preview that will be addressed in December release:

    • The action card for button, image, and shape, responsive toggle, and data limit settings are currently missing.
    • Numeric input may not render input properly for overflowing text.
    • Red borders may appear around some controls when first opening the pane.
    • Scatter chart > category labels are missing a few properties.
    • Some visuals have not been updated with sub-categories, these will be updated in future releases (Azure Maps, Esri Map, Power Automate, Decomp tree).

      Thanks kindly for the reponse.  I have kept this preview feature turned off due to all of these shortcomings.

      But I still have the issue described above.

    Hi rsbin ,

    You can't choose conditional measure, which operation did you do?

    I cannot reproduce your issue. My test version: 2.102.683.0 64-bit (February 2022)

    If you cannot select measures like the following, please check the type of the measures.

    My measure cannot select like above is not numeric.

     

    I have also found a similar post, please refer to it to see if it helps you.

    I created an if measure for when the values are certain level to be "green", "yellow" and "red". 

     

    If it doesn't help, please provide a screenshot without privacy information.

      Thank you for the reply and apologies for my delayed response.

      If you read my original post carefully, I am specifically referring to Page Navigation and Conditional Titles.  These are by their nature Text values.

       

       

       

       

       

      I can select an individual Page, but this does me absolutely no good.  I want to navigate to the User [SelectedPage] value.  Am frustrated because I was able to do this last year.  Something has changed.

      I can do it if I turn my model into Mixed Mode and enter my Page table manually.  However, my preference is to keep my model as Live Connect if at all possible.

      Any further comments or advice would be appreciated.
