Hi Experts!
This morning, our organization noticed that the List Slicer is not rendering properly within the PBI Service. It looks fine in the Desktop version, and we have tried re-publishing to see if that corrects the problem, but no luck. And, this problem did not exist yesterday.
Were there some updates? Any ideas?
Also, we are on the Septmber 2025 version of PBI: Version: 2.147.1085.0 64-bit (September 2025).
TIA

After fiddling around with the format settings in the PBI Service, I found a workaround.
Under Layout, I unchecked fixed number of buttons, and set the Max buttons shown to 2.
After republishing, the List Slicer is now rendering properly.
I am a little unsettled, however, that it stopped rendering properly with Fixed Number of Buttons set to Yes. But, I will mark this as a solution anyway.
Hi @WishAskedSooner,
Could you post some screenshots so we can see the behaviour?
Could it be related to this active issue?

I also had the same problem with rendering.
Starting from the proposed solution and because I didn't want to do any change in layout, I've found that just doing the following steps, it fix the problem:
1. Have a look at the configuration you made of "Button shown" (3 in my case).
2. Uncheck "Fixed number of buttons" --> this will probably reset also the number of "Button shown" to default (8).
3. If chanceg, set "Button shown" with the desired number (3 in my case).
4. Check "Fixed number of buttons"
--> Now you have the same settings as before
5. Save and publish the report and the list slicer will now render correctly. 🙂
Hope this additional information it'll be useful to others.
What's the specific issue? Could you share some screenshots and be more specific how you set up the slicer?
Here are screenshots of how the slicer looks in the Desktop vs the Service:

So, it appears to be squishing it.
The formatting of the List Slicer is thus:
Size: 60x70
Title: On, 9 pt
Layout: Fixed Number of buttons: Checked; Buttons shown: 2
Callout Values: Segui UI, 10 pt
Selection Icon: On, 12 px
Buttons: No custom settings
