Line graph not displaying the right data

I have a line graph which shows countries and summarises sales by country by month.

Axis X is a week number, and axis Y is sum(sales) grouped by country.

Unfortunately, the line graph shows me only alphabetically top 15 countries, and I dont seem to have an option to see only top 10 of the countries. How can I change that?

Hi @maziiw ,

This is due the limits imposed by the visualization. More information around this can be found in Microsoft's official documentation here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/desktop-high-density-sampling#how-the-new-...

I also wanted to link a similar scenario another user ran into for reference: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/Line-Chart-Limitation-Max-of-15-lines-represented-...

If this helped, please mark it as the solution so others can benefit too. And if you found it useful, kudos are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Samson

Thanks @SamsonTruong , just got to that here as well. Do you know why I can only see top - N (usually 20) cuntries though? I have several million rows so my suspicion is that they do not all make it to preview, but that really does not make sense. Is there a way to show all 216 countries? This will make my graph huge, 15 months on X axis and 216 countries on Y axis.

Hi @maziiw,

To adjust the line graph to show the top 10 countries by Sales:

  1. Select your chart
  2. Navigate to the filters pane

  3. Find your Country field in the filters pane
  4. Click the dropdown next to the country field and choose “Top N”
  5. Choose Top 10 > By Sum of Sales > Click Apply filter

Please let me know if this helps achieve your desired result.
