Line graph - Multiple lines return toward X axes

Dear,

I want to compare different charts with PowerBI.

Now Excel is used. There are a lot of CSV files that contain data. The data is extracted from the desired files via script and then graphs are made in an overview in Excel to be able to compare them. The problem is that the desired files have to be sectioned and the data retrieved every time.

I would prefer to collect the data via power query. Then it is easy to manage via a Dashboard.

The problem is that the graph curves and tilts back toward the X axis. All this is plotted in a line graph then the points are connected from right to left. But it should be from bottom to top. On this forum I have already seen a solution with the Charticulator. This only works for one line. I would like multiple lines (6) on a graph.

I have tried with the table below. But on the Charticulator I only get one line and on the lingref the dots are not connected correctly.

  • You could swap X and Y axes ? 🙂

What may actually work is if you break up your data at the point where it curves back, and use two separate lines, one for each segment. Make the segments the same color so the users don't notice. See attached.
