I have Line and Stacked Column charts that have been formatted specifically to a manager's wants/preferences, to replicate a chart he had created in Excel. My question is: is it possible to have a line that represents Today's date in the chart? I circled the part I'm referring to, which is just some sloppy shapes I put together to make an arrow, exactly what he had also done in Excel. The difference, however, is that my visual in Power BI is dynamic with the slider at the x-axis to scroll along future dates. When I slide through the dates, my arrow doesn't move of course, but it looks strange while someone scrolls because really it should remain at today's date.
Thank you for the feedback, however I don't seem to have the option to make a constant line for this visualization.
Hello,
You can add a constant x-axis line and set it based on a simple measure like today = TODAY(). This will give you a vertical line. I don't believe that you can include the horizontal arrows dynamically.
Hope this helps.
