Line & stacked column chart with line marker

Hi, 

 

If I do a line & stacked column chart with a categorical horizontal axis, I can add a marker to the line and change the shape (square, circle etc), size and colour. 

 

If I do the same chart with a date or date heirarchy horizontal axis, I can't add a marker. Photos below

 

Is there any reason for this difference?

    Hi mbegg,

     

    Based on my test, only adding text column on horizontal axis, the "Show marker" option will be available. If possible, you could set the data type of Year column to text.

     

    Besides, you could submit this behaviour as a feature request at this link.
