I've searched for the answer on here and google, no luck.
I have a data set where I need to calculate the sum of the total of the most recent date. However the most recent date of some of the values could be 5 years old. The date ranges from 5+ years ago to today, and I need to sum the most recent of all the values and have them on a line chart.
The values calculate production capability over time and if the most recent value I have is from 5 years ago, that's what I have to go off of for that particular widget's production.

In this case would I need a complete date table to keep the running production total until each widget's production total is updated? If that makes sense.
Here is a sample dataset. The sum of the production is 102.37 which is the production capability of the organization. Which I'd like to have as the value for the line chart regardless of the date slicer. And as the widgets production value updates, it will change the production capability line going forward. If Widget 5's production changed to today's date with a value of 10, the capability line would change from 102.37 to 110.8 going forward from today's date. I hope that makes sense.
Widget Number | Date | Production |
Widget 1 | 5/20/2022 | 13.67 |
Widget 2 | 5/24/2022 | 14.5 |
Widget 3 | 5/17/2022 | 5 |
Widget 4 | 5/19/2022 | 4.67 |
