Line Chart data will not show all the data labels.

Hello all you experts,

I have created a Line Chart and have chosen to display the Data Labels. My issue is that there are some lables that are not being displayed. For example if you see the display below you will see that there are quite a few Data Labels that do you get displayed in the dashboard. I did read one solutions where someone suggested to set the Label Density to 100% However I do not have the 'Label Density' option showing in my visualization.

Can someone please help and advice how do I get all the Data Labels to be displayed.

Thanks and Regards.

@Aspi

Which version of PowerBI are you using? Also are you using a custom Line Chart visual of the native one?

I can see the label density in the latest version of PowerBI under 'Data Labels'

Hi  @Aspi ,

Here are the steps you can follow:

You can try to go to visualizations, find X axis, select type and change it to category.

Hi,

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately as I said earlier I dont see the Label Density option avaliable in my visualisation menu.

Text size does not go less than 8 in Power BI, which is soemthing I have never understood why??

Regards.

Aspi.

@Aspi

You can do either with label density or text size (reduce it) or both.

If there many values in the graph though then unfortunately you wont be able to see all the labels.

Overlapped labels wouldnt be ideal for readability
