Line Chart Totals from Daily Excel Files

Sorry, I'm new to Power BI, so, forgive the new guy 🙂

I'm trying to create a line chart based on data in an a daily report that is in the format of an  Excel file.  I basically need Power BI to sum up the total in a column in the Excel file and that would be 1 data point in the Line Chart.  We then have this same type of data in the same format delevered to us daily in Excel that we would need to do the same thing as other data points.  And, then hopefully setup Power BI to monitor this folder for new files and repeat this process daily.

Any ideas ?

thanks in advanced

Hi @NewEbayUser2001,

To what i could understand you are getting a file per day with the information you need to have in your report, taking this into account if you have your files saved on the same place daily you can use the video below to make get your information daily to you PBI. You can then add the column ni your visual and the calculations will be automatic.

This example is with CSV files but also works with excel files.
