Limit Timeline Slicer

Just downloaded the Timeline Slicer custom visual. While it is helpful, I am running into an issue because I am using a master date table that has dates in the future. 

 

I would like to limit the YEAR on the timeline slicer to only the current year. 

 

Is this possible?

    hansolo You can change the visual to a table at which point you will be able to apply a filter to remove any future dates. Then, just change the visual back to the timeline slicer and it will retain the filter.

      Thanks very much Anonymous very easy solution but a lot of stuff in PowerBI is not intuitive to me .. yet ...

      Hi Eno,

       

      I tried the same, but it didn't retain the visual filter. I have data from 2011 to till date, used Timeline customer visual and tried to restrict the data for current year, but it ddin't work.

       

      Any alternative approach.
