Keep data format during import to Power Query
Hello everyone!
Researched a 1000 of materials, but didn't find an answer. Hope someone knows the answer here
I've got an Excel file (.xlsx) with a columns which contains 2 types of values: $ and %.
Cell format in the Excel is Financial.
$ and % characters are shown in Excel (i.e. $25 or 10%)
When inporting this file to Power Query it removes these ($ and %) characters and converts the whole column to ABC123 format.
Question: is there any possibility to keep/save those $ and % symbols during import phase?

You can import the signs of $ and percent only if in Excel you will modify the data type to text...but this is not an efficient way to work with formats because in Power BI it will be text tooThe right way to work is to import the format as is and modify the data type from Power BI itself
