KPI visual Displays Different Values Than Table or Card

Hi All,

I'll try to explain my situation as I can't include tables, pics or links.

I'm using a KPI visual to display the current rate of issues against a goal and dynamic date hierarchy (via slicer). I'm comparing the values displayed in this KPI to a table as well as a card and I'm not seeing the same values display so I'm looking for help in either explaining why I'm seeing what I'm seeing or identifying the incorrect setup.

Below is the current setup.

Slicer: Date that displays FIscal quarters ago, fiscal months ago and fiscal weeks ago. Ago that displays a numeric slider based on Date

Table:

Date is a Hierarchy: Date(FY), Date(Qtr), Date(Week)

Goal Measure = set to 80%

Rate Measure = Varies but this is a percent

Card that shows same Rate Measure as in the table

KPI:

Value = same Rate Measure as Card and Table

Trend axis = same Date(however, only displays one level of hiearchy?) as in Table

Target = same Goal Measure as Card and Table

The resulting displays between these three visuals is different

If I set my slicer to Fiscal quarters ago and the Ago range is 0 - 3, I'm not seeing the same info in each visual

KPI: Shows me a value of 40.43%, Goal = 80% and Date = FY25

Table: Shows 4 rows

Row 1: Date = FY24 Q3, Goal = 80%, Rate = 38.24%

Row 2: Date = FY24 Q4, Goal = 80%, Rate = 57.14%

Row 3: Date = FY24 Q1, Goal = 80%, Rate = 35.41%

Row 4: Date = FY24 Q2, Goal = 80%, Rate = 47.37%

Total = 80%, 44.83%

Card  shows 44.83%

I would like the KPI to show the values from Row 4 of the table. The values would be based on the current reporting period and change based on what is selected in the slicer. For instance, if i select Fiscal weeks ago with slider of 0-3 it will show Date of FY 25 /Wk 20.

Would anyone be able to explain what I've done wrong to see what I expect in the KPI visual?

Thanks!

I was able to identify the issue. The Trend Axis I was using was supposed to be a parameter value that I had to rebuild because I'm using a read only of someone else's semantic model.

When I rebuilt the parameter and then created the same relationship the original parameter had, the graph displayed correctly and matched what was in the table and the card.

please share a pbix or some dummy data that keeps the raw data structure with expected results. It should help us clarify your scenario and test to coding formula.
