KPI Visual similar to Column Chart with conditional colour formatting option

Hi All,

I have a requirement to display an KPI Visual which should look like a Stacked Column Chart, please see image below:

However, it should display GREEN when the VALUE is less than TARGET VALUE and RED when value is more than target value.

Ex: Above value is shown in Green since it is less than 65, but shown as proportion of total value.

If I try displaying above value in Stacked Column Chart, it display as shown below:

After doing a bit of research in Internet, I found some custom visual having custom formatting option such as in LINEAR GUAGE by MAQ Software. This visual works fine on Desktop, however does not work well on Mobile.

Is there a better way to achive above requirements?

Best Regards,

NR1

  • Hi nileshroy1,

By my test with many graphs, it seems that there is no better graph to meet your requirement in Power BI currently.

For another option, You may have a try with the custom visual Slim Data bar KPI which is similar with the chart  LINEAR GUAGE by MAQ Software.

If that still don't meet your requirement,  I suggest you could try with table visualization which have the conditional formatting.

    Best regards,

    Cherry

      Thanks Phil for your reply.

Sorry, I did not provide a test dataset to clarify the requirement.

The Colour of BAR is determined by comparing two incoming values.

The Test Data is as follows:

For Ex, Based on above dataset, I need to create following BAR:

If the Flow Column Value is greater it should be shown in RED.

      Thanks

        Oh ok,

I was taking advantage of the [color saturation] field, but that only works if you only have one metric per column.  Sorry

      Thanks v-piga-msft,

That was very helpfull, it is able represent data in a similar way but horizontally instead of vertically.

Is there a way to make the visual vertical, I tried it's Orientation Option but it does not change.

Also is there a way to get it's code to enhance it?

      Cheers
