July 2018 Update Unable to Download

Hi everyone,

 

I need to update Power BI because I am facing many bugs with the current version. When I try to install it, I get this pop up saying 'Please close Microsoft Power BI and click Retry to continue the installation'. I have closed Power BI and it's not running in the background in task manager, but this error still pops up. What do I do? Thank you

    Hi everyone, I guess this was another bug. Within the next day, I attempted it again and it worked without even shutting off my computer or anything of the like.

    Hi samanthamirae,

     

    Since you were sure that the Power BI didn't run in the background, I would suggest you restart your computer. 
    Did you try it?

    What's the version of your OS?
